Taylor Swift Premieres Music Video For New Single ‘Bad Blood’ featuring Kendrick Lamar

Taylor Swift premiered the music video for her new single ‘Bad Blood’ last night at the Billboard Music Awards. And it is a movie!

Produced by Swift herself and directed by Joseph Kahn, the video for ‘Bad Blood’ is an epic, mini summer blockbuster. The video features starring roles from Emmy winners, Golden Globe winners, Grammy winners, an Oscar nominee as well as both upcoming and iconic supermodels, including Lily Aldridge, Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, Lena Dunham, Jessica Alba, Kendrick Lamar, Selena Gomez, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevigne and more. All of whom chose their individual character's name and persona.

‘Bad Blood’ is the fourth single to be released and is taken from Taylor's history breaking new album ‘1989’. Originally appearing on the album without any featured artists, Taylor Swift calls on Top Dawg's Kendrick Lamar for the brand new remixed version of ‘Bad Blood’, where we see him as ‘Welvin Da Great’ in the visuals below.

Originally on the same team, Catastrophe (Taylor Swift) and Arsyn (Selena Gomez) are seen defeating their nemesis before a turn around happens and Arsyn ends up stabbing Catastrophe in the back. With bad blood now between them, the ex-friends go their separate ways and eventually end up forming their own teams.

Does the plot thicken as the cinematic music video goes on? Watch and find out below.

New Video: Kendrick Lamar - i

King Kendrick, how you've been missed. Mid-September Kendrick Lamar decided it was time for him to quench the thirst of his fans, by releasing his new highly-anticipated single ‘i’.

Quenching the thirst of some, and leaving others dry-mouthed with a sound from him that we're not usually used to, Kendrick has now unveiled the video to the record, that has grown on many.

In ‘i’, Kendrick Lamar let us know that he's not a rapper but a writer. The song which samples The Isley Brothers' classic single ‘That Lady’ is the official theme song of the NBA. Kudos to Kendrick for that, that cheque must be a hefty one.

Kendrick adds funk in his step as he dances throughout the video of ‘i’ in a remote neighbourhood, passing by cop cars in the streets, a couple arguing on their front porch and a suicidal man.

It's only right that Kendrick pays homage to The Isley Brothers in this happy-like video, which we see Ron Isley make a guest appearance and drives Kendrick back to the club where he first kicked off the music video.

‘i’ - the ultimate confident booster will appear on Kendrick's not yet titled, neither does it have a release date, third studio album.

New Music: Kendrick Lamar - i

And he's baaaaack!!

No matter what the beat may be - Kendrick Lamar stays true to himself with his bars and lyrics. He's not a rapper, he's a writer!

The Compton rapper released his highly anticipated new single ‘i’ today and was premiered on Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club, before it hit the net.

Sampling the Isley Brothers' classic single ‘That Lady’, Kendrick raps about loving yourself and sends a positive message in the lyrics of the song, produced by Rahki; ‘i’ is the ultimate confident booster.

Giving us an old school Motown feel on ‘I’, Kendrick is scheduled to release his sophomore album later on this year and will follow up from his 2012 debut ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city’.

In the meantime, enjoy Kendrick Lamar's new record below. How do you feel about it? Let me know your thoughts!

New Video: Robin Thicke - Give It 2 U (Remix) ft. 2 Chainz & Kendrick Lamar

Robin Thicke is enjoying the continued success of his ‘Blurred Lines’ album, after it debuted at #1 on the UK and Scottish charts.

Thicke and his other companions - 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar all huddle up together for the video to ‘Give It 2 U’ remix. One of the many song favourites off the LP.

With non-stop dancing in the video from beginning to end, and a lively 2 Chainz and K.Dot who also appear in the video. This is one of the most creative videos of the year. Thought was definitely put into the making of this video. Robin Thicke's son - Julian even makes his debut in the Diane Martel cut.

New Music: Big Sean - Control ft. Kendrick Lamar & Jay Electronica

Kendrick Lamar gives the industry a little wake and shake up on his verse on Big Sean's new song ‘Control’. The seven-and-a-half-minute song did not make the Big Sean's forthcoming album ‘Hall of Fame’.

Big Sean and Jay Electronica go off in their verses in the cut produced by No I.D, but it's Kendrick Lamar's verse that has the people talking.

K Dot takes a shot at fellow rappers and friends where he raps:

"I'm usually homeboys with the same niggas I'm rhymin' with
But this is hip-hop and them niggas should know what time it is
And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big Krit, Wale, Pusha T, Meek Mill,
A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electron, Tyler, Mac Miller
I got love for you but I'm trynna murder you niggas.

Trynna make sure your core fans never heard of you niggas.
They don't wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you niggas!"

Well, there you have it. It's a shame that this song did not make the album. Personally, I just think Kendrick is telling other rappers to step their game up... And after this verse, so they should!

But some might take it personal - and like Kenya Moore..

Take a listen to ‘Control’, who had the best verse? Should it have made the final cut on ‘Hall of Fame’?

Flicks: Studio Sessions

It's been a really long time since I've blogged about Studio Sessions - check out the last one (back in October) - here

Check out who's been in the studio with who in the pics below!

Started from the bottom, now we here: Over the weekend Jay-Z hit up the studio with rapper Drake for a possible collaboration on Jay-Z's new album.

New York Dons: Jay-Z also hit up the studio with fellow New Yorker Raekwon. Raekwon put the pic on his Instagram page with the caption:

"Long time coming!!!! Hov x chef ... Much love to my dude Lenny S aka #kodaklens for making it happen!!! #ComingSoon"

Easy Breezy Music: Only God knows what Chris Brown and Jennifer Lopez were cooking up in the studio. Maybe an R&B song for her new album? Or a clubby one? R&B please!

The Future of Music: Yes! Yes! Jennifer Lopez once again hit the studio earlier this year with the future of music - Future himself. This will be an interesting collaboration...

East Coast meets West Coast: It's been a long time coming, long overdue in fact. It's about damn time Nas and Kendrick Lamar got into the studio together. I so look forward to hearing whatever it is that they come up with. Even if it's both of them just saying "hmm" it'll still be a hit! Lmao.

Backs against the wall: Rebellious Rihanna and Wale also got into the studio together. Rihanna posted the pic on her Instagram - this is also a collaboration that has been a long time coming. I know it's only magic that they'll come up with. Rihanna is rumoured to apparently be making an appearance on Wale's third studio album "The Gifted" which is out on June 25.

New Video: Kendrick Lamar - B*tch Don't Kill My Vibe

Death to Molly.

TDE rapper Kendrick Lamar premiered his new video to the latest single "B*tch Don't Kill My Vibe" off his album "good kid, m.A.A.d. city".

A lot of rappers have recently been sugar-coating the MDMA drug "molly" and been expressing it in their songs. But Kendrick Lamar takes a spin on the whole "molly" situation that has been idolized with this new video to "B*tch Don't Kill My Vibe".

Dressed in all white - he and his friends are at a Church service for a funeral but then their mood quickly changes when they all enter a limo and get "turn up", whilst they all head to the hills for the burial. Of who? I dunno.

As the video goes on we see Comedian Mike Epps who baptizes Kendrick is a pool full of liquor, then later on striking poses in front of a white casket. Later on in the video we see at the end that the screen appears black and the words "death to molly" appear.

Maybe this new video will raise awareness that the MDMA drug is very serious. I love the message behind the new video... Good on you K.Dot!

New Video: T.I., B.o.B, Kendrick Lamar & Kris Stephens - Memories Back Then

'Memories Back Then' one of the hottest songs out right now from T.I., B.o.B, Kendrick Lamar and new face and sound to the music industry Kris Stephens; has finally got a video to it.

The video was released yesterday via T.I.'s VEVO channel on YouTube and was shot in the West Coast - Los Angeles. In this Phillyflyboy directed flip, the crew hit up the Santa Monica Pier, 6th Street Bridge downtown later on all meeting up in the Hollywood Hills.

T.I., B.o.B and Kendrick Lamar all rap and share personal experiences about women in their past that they were involved with. I love the flair that Kris Stephens brings to this song.

T.I.'s Hustle Gang will be releasing a new compilation album and a mixtape before the year ends.

New Video: Miguel - How Many Drinks? (Remix) ft. Kendrick Lamar

I was cheesing so hard when I was watching this new music video from Miguel and Kendrick Lamar to How Many Drinks? From the beginning to end - all my concentration was on this new video, I am so in love with Miguel's music and the same with Kendrick Lamar's. And the fact that they've come together on ONE track... Lawd!

Both artists are totally winning musically and I'm happy to be a fan of them both. Miguel and Kendrick Lamar give us a live performance in this new video to How Many Drinks? with a band and backup singers. They both have fun in this video as they rap/sing each others lyrics.

This is the third single off Miguel's sophomore album Kaleidoscope Dream.

The New Classics: Kendrick Lamar & Miguel Cover VIBE Magazine

Two of the coolest and most talented artists out right now (who I both love deeply), hip-hop rapper Kendrick Lamar and R&B singer Miguel kick it on the cover of VIBE Magazine's 'The BIG LIST' issue.

With this three cover special Kendrick and Miguel both answered a range of questions that VIBE Magazine proposed to them. Earlier this year - MTV titled Kendrick Lamar as the #1 Hip-Hop MC out now with 2 Chainz coming in at #2 beating the likes of Nas, Jay-Z, Kanye West and more. As for Miguel the singer won his first Grammy award this year for Best R&B song for his single 'Adorn'. So far it's been a great year for both artists.

Read a few highlights from their interview with VIBE Magazine below and check out their photo-shoot spread inside!
