Zendaya Collaborates With Chris Brown on ‘Something New’

Teenage sweetheart Zendaya, collaborates with Chris Brown on her new 90's inspired single ‘Something New’.

‘Something New’ is a total vibe from start to finish, that samples TLC's 90's classic ‘Creep’, which Zendaya rides exceptionally well.

Zendaya teamed up with legendary producer Babyface, who co-produced the new track and has been in the studio working with Timabaland and Diane Warren on her sophomore album.

Describing her new sound to MTV, Zendaya said it best as the "new-age version":
“it's where I think it should be going, or it should be headed; it's a very old-school vibe, but it's a new-age version.”

Press play and listen below. The song is now available via iTunes.

New Music: Tink - Million

A blast from the past, less than 20 years later...

Timbaland's protégé, singer-rapper Tink pays homage to the late Aaliyah with her new single ‘Million’, produced by the man himself.

Coming off the back of the release of her critically acclaimed debut ‘Ratchet Commandments’‘Million’ shows off Tink's talents - not only as a great rapper, but also as a singer, which she has shown on previous records ‘Used 2 Know’ and ‘Treat Me Like Somebody’, to mention.

Sampling Aaliyah's classic record ‘One In A Million’, ‘Million’ has fans and supporters of Tink, as well as critics excited for the release of her debut LP ‘#ThinkTINK’, out this Summer. Both ‘Ratchet Commandments’ and ‘Million’ will appear on ‘#ThinkTINK’

The genius behind all this is Timbaland. He literally made a hit off his own hit!

Listen to Tink passionately sings about her one in a million in ‘Million’.

New Video: Tink - Ratchet Commandments

‘I been at this thing for years, it's done turned me to an animal
Some of y'all ratchet, I'm a writer you hoes a manual’

She gave us the single, then broke down to us what the ratchet commandments were, and now Tink has unveiled the visuals to ‘Ratchet Commandments’.

Directed by renowned director David Meyers, who has worked with the likes of Missy Elliott and Outkast, it was obvious that Tink was in good hands with her video to ‘Ratchet Commandments’.

Throughout the video, Tink who gives females an anthology of advice, is seen wearing a church robe in the early stages of the video, before portraying herself as different women whilst addressing their ratchet behaviour in ‘Ratchet Commandments’.

Culminating in a final verse that sees Tink spitting at full speed, before flipping the attention on the opposite sex, who too, can be just as ratchet.

‘Ratchet Commandments’ is an emphatic statement of things to come from this Chicagoan, whose debut LP is set to be one of the most anticipated and promising releases of 2015.

New Music: Tink - Ratchet Commandments

20 year old lyrical beast, Tink, has been the talk of the town since being mentored by producer, Timbaland.

The up and coming female MC, releases her latest single ‘Ratchet Commandments’, a feisty mettlesome fittingly. Already gaining prominence from noted titles in the US, it only seems fitting the release comes by way of acclaimed London label, renowned for breaking such acts as Rudimental, Gorgon City, Clean Bandit - ‘Black Butter Records’.

Tink, a Chicago-native is already establishing herself as one of the hottest acts to watch in 2015. With her wise beyond her years, raw and earnest storytelling and undeniable flow, she has already garnered the support from industry heavy-weights including none other than super-producer Timbaland, who off the back of a fortuitous encounter in the studio with producer crew Da Internz, signed her to his imprint, Mosley Music Group.

‘Ratchet Commandments’ is an anthology of advice for the female species, backed by buoyant beats from mentor Timbaland and culminating in a final verse that sees Tink spitting at full speed, before flipping the attention on the opposite sex, who too, can be just as ratchet.

‘Ratchet Commandments’ is an emphatic statement of things to come from this Chicagoan, whose debut LP is set to be one of the most anticipated and promising releases of 2015.

Tink gives us Lauryn Hill vibes on this new record, and she is PREACHING! Take a listen to her new single ‘Ratchet Commandments’. #ThinkTINK

New Music: Rick Ross - If They Knew ft. K. Michelle

The biggest bawse - Rick Ross, calls on a fellow big bawse Timbaland to help produce a story-telling track ‘If They Knew’ featuring K. Michelle.

‘If They Knew’ follows up from Rick Ross' ‘Keep Doin That (Rich Bitch)’ off his new solo LP, ‘Hood Billionaire’ out November 24 and will be Rozay's second album released this year, with ‘Mastermind’ having been released in March.

Not many people can pull off the "two albums in one year" stint, so I do wonder what Rick Ross has up his sleeve to make this one more standout-ish from ‘Mastermind’, probably nothing if I'm honest.

The full tracklisting to Rick Ross' ‘Hood Billionaire’ is further below, but before that ride out to his new K. Michelle assisted track ‘If They Knew’.

Confirmed: Timbaland & Missy will NOT feature on new Aaliyah album

You'd think even after 11 years someone has left us that their legacy will be put to rest.

This shit is just getting more and more messy. It's been confirmed that the people that shaped and created Aaliyah's sound and career - Timbaland and Missy Elliott won't even be featured on Aaliyah's upcoming posthumous album. Crazy right?

Okay. The record label, Drake and everyone else officially involved in this have lost their damn minds.

Last week Missy tweeted that no one had told her about an Aaliyah album, a couple days after Drake released a new song featuring the late singer's un-released music. Drake who has had no sort of relationship with Aaliyah whilst she was alive, was also announced as the 'executive producer' of the album last week, really?

The record label Aaliyah was signed to 'Blackground', which was established by her Uncle, Barry Hankerson, are apparently planning on releasing un-released Aaliyah music. Still unconfirmed, using the money they make from this album to save the record label and for his artist JoJo. Appalling. But they can never release that as a statement, no matter how polished they try and make it seem.

Mona Scott-Young, Missy Elliott's manager and creator of reality TV show 'Love and Hip Hop' released an official press release to Billboard earlier on today, stating:

“Although Missy and Timbaland always strive to keep the memory of their close friend alive, we have not been contacted about the project nor are there any plans at this time to participate. We’ve seen the reports surfacing that they have been confirmed to participate but that is not the case. Both Missy and Timbaland are very sensitive to the loss still being felt by the family so we wanted to clear up any misinformation being circulated.”

Missy added:
“Tim and I carry Aaliyah with us everyday, like so many of the people who love her. She will always live in our hearts. We have nothing but love and respect for her memory and for her loved ones left behind still grieving her loss. They are always in our prayers.”

Personally, they should just SCRAP the whole thing. As a big Aaliyah fan, I just feel like they're messing with the singer's un-released music and using the money for their pockets and not for her name or legacy. How self-centered and selfish of these people.

As much as I would LOVEEEEE to hear un-released/new Aaliyah music, I feel that it should be done the RIGHT way and out of love and respect and for the fans.

Hopefully, they'll hear the cry of the people and not continue with the album. And if they choose to continue with this production, then boy... No nice words for them from me.

New Music: Drake - Enough Said ft. Aaliyah

VERY INTERESTING.

Drake's latest obsession with late R&B singer is getting a bit more to the left, weird! After getting Aaliyah tattoo's, earpieces etc Drake has released a new song from unreleased Aaliyah music. At least he wants to continue her legacy - so I respect that -  even though he never met her or had any contact with her whilst she was alive.

This new single from Drake featuring Aaliyah is titled 'Enough Said' which I actually quite like in a way, not so much the production and Drake's rapping - just Aaliyah's vocals - I would love to hear more unreleased Aaliyah tracks (without Drake on them).

Twitter went H A M last night when they found out that Drake released this song saying
"the only people that should 'mess' with Aaliyah's music is Timbaland, Missy Elliott and Aaliyah's older brother" and
"this is a huge slap in the face to Aaliyah's music team". And of course the one that made me LOL "Drake wanna be Aaliyah so bad". A lot of people felt that Drake was being 'disrespectful'.

The song was produced by Drake's producer '40', no shade to them but I just want to know why Timbaland and Missy Elliott - Aaliyah's long time friends weren't involved in the production? So low of Drake.

The Take Care singer also wants to release an Aaliyah album (-_-) Right, right. Include Timbaland and Missy before you catch more shade and hate on twitter and blogs, thanks.

Just listen to the track! And make your own decisions.
