New Video: K. Michelle - Can't Raise a Man

Off her #1 selling R&B album - singer and reality TV star K. Michelle has debuted the video to her second single ‘Can't Raise a Man’. The new video portrays exactly the lyrics to the song, where K. Michelle sings on the hook of the song:

"You can't raise a man,

He's already grown, what you gon do?

You wondering why he acts like a boy? 

It's 'cos he wasn't raised right before you.

Girl, you ain't never gon' change nobody

If he don't wanna, you can't make nobody

You can't raise a man..."

In the video to ‘Can't Raise a Man’, we see three different relationship scenarios that occurs in our everyday lives - a man physically abusing his wife, a man cheating on his wife, and another man who is using drugs.

‘Can't Raise a Man’ gained so much more buzz after the song premiered on the season finale of Love and Hip Hop: New York, of where K. Michelle was a cast member. K. Michelle didn't appear often on this seasons' LHHNY and neither attended the reunion show, but the singer will be appearing in her own reality show out this year on VH1.

Whilst lovers are still wining and dining each other with K. Michelles' lead single ‘V.S.O.P.’, yesterday her debut album was officially able to pre-order via iTunes. Along with that K. Michelle unveiled the album cover to ‘Rebellious Soul’ (pictured above) where she is seen holding two roses and a bouquet of roses sprinkled all around her, as she wears a black gown.

‘Rebellious Soul’ features her lead single ‘V.S.O.P.’ along with another 10 songs including ‘Can't Raise A Man’ which appeared on her mixtape ‘0 F*cks Given’.

K. Michelle: Releases 'The Hold Over' EP & Drops the Video to "V.S.O.P."

K. Michelle delays the release of her album Rebellious Soul, but gave fans some new music to enjoy whilst they wait for its release. Rebellious Soul was initially meant to be released on July 30 and is K. Michelle's debut album, but has now been moved to August 13. 

Along with the announcement came the release of a new EP 'The Hold Over' which features three tracks "Pain Killa", "Million Hearts" and "Wish I Could Be Her" - all of which K. Michelle pours her heart out on.

It was a big weekend for the music industry in the States as the annual BET Awards was held in Los Angeles. K. Michelle ceased that opportunity to not only perform on the Music Matters stage but to also unveil her video to the lead single off her album, "V.S.O.P."

Today the songstress has dropped a new song and video for her fans to "Half of It", which is her version to the song originally by Rihanna. 

K. Michelle sings about her ratchet behaviour she portrays on TV every week on VH1's Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. The star also sings about being a role model to teenagers and young women, as well as other things like not being able to handle her alcohol. K.Michelle sings from the soul in this new song. Her debut album "Rebellious Soul" drops on July 30 via Atlantic Records.

K.Michelle is a very talented singer-songwriter-classical-pianist and also a reality TV star for the VH1 TV show "Love and Hip Hop Atlanta".

Nicki Minaj recently dropped the video to her single "High School" which featured her fellow YMCMB label mate - Lil Wayne. The Superstar spoke to Teen Vogue magazine on the music industry, her rough childhood and social media. Read some of the highlights below

On the music business:

"People treat this business like it's high school. It can absolutely feel like one big popularity contest, and you know what? I can't be bothered. I can't allow myself to play ridiculous games with grown adults in the industry. I can't be nice to someone just because they're hot right now. I can't do it."

On her rough childhood:

"Every time my parents fought, my mother would have us move and I would have to go to a new school, which meant I'd have to face the task of making new friends. I dreaded it. LOL! Interview of life! It's been a longgg time coming where Stevie J and Joseline stopped by The Breakfast Club!

This is a hilarious interview - what a great way to start the week! Stevie J and Joseline Hernadez are currently doing promo with the rest of the Love and Hip Hop Atlanta cast in New York City and they stopped by The Breakfast Club!

New Video: Erica Mena - Where Do I Go From Here?

There is only ONE Erica Mena and that's a known fact!

I completely forgot to blog this, but last week - Reality TV star of 'Love and Hip Hop New York,' model and now singer (and I use that word lightly) - Erica Mena dropped the visuals to her single 'Where Do I Go From Here?'.

The auto-tune filled song was originally Olivia's song, but then Rich Dollaz gave the song to Erica Mena - which we saw happen on Love and Hip Hop unfold, Olivia then took back the song and it entered the iTunes Top 10 R&B charts the same week she released it.

In this new video - Erica - friend of the Kardashians, strips down as she pours out her heart to whoever she's singing to, preferably Rich Dollaz. The fellas will definitely enjoy this new video, she goes from the bath tub to the shower showing off her assets and then some. Enjoy the new video to 'Where Do I Go From Here?'... I look forward to watching Olivia's video to her version of the song.

The ladies and gents of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta are back and back in full tact! The ratchet cast of reality TV bring the drama just the way we like it. A brand new reality show is coming to our TV screens on April 1st on VH1! VH1's reality show lineup is getting bigger and better and this time with an all female cast who eat, sleep, breathe and live hip hop. These women write about it, report it and even sleep with some of the hip-hop artists.

Seven of the feistiest women in hip-hop - magazine journalists, radio personalities, bloggers, and freelance writers all get together to give us the scoop on a daily basis of what's happening in the hip-hop industry. Now they've got a reality show, to show us how they live and get down and what their day-to-day life is really like from their relationships to just having beef with other women in this industry; and other little hiccups.

The baddest twins in Hollywood - Tia and Tamera Mowry are all grown up now and are both married with kids!

Not for 'Kontrol' magazine it's not. The urban magazine - enlisted Chrisette Michele, Nick Cannon and Rasheeda & Kirk for their three cover special.

Each cover has it's own piece of sexiness to it, especially the last one with Rasheeda & Kirk - stars of VH1's reality TV show - Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.

Cannon had a rocky start to 2012 after being hospitalized for mild kidney failure and Mariah was by his side all the way. Now the actor is back on our TV screens with Real Husbands of Hollywood as he records season eight of America's Got Talent.

Nick Cannon talks about his health, fashion and advice for his twins - Roc & Roe.

On his health:

“I’m doing good.  I’m doing a lot better than I was.  I was on my death bed, but the doctor said I got a clean bill of health, I’m healthier than I’ve ever been before.

On his take on fashion:

“I believe fashion is all about making a statement. Whenever you put something on as long as it’s saying something…You play with colors and textures it’s all about really just making that statement.”  And when the topic of designers comes up?  Cannon says without hesitation, “Right now I’d have to go with Tom Ford.  The fact that he kind of goes over the top but still knows how to keep it classy.” 

Advice for his twins - Roe & Roe:

Roe: “If you respect yourself, [men] will respect you. As soon as you give away your dignity, whatever you believe that to be, that’s when people will start to treat you as such. 

Roc: “Go hard!  Simple.  Whatever it is.  Just don’t be mediocre at anything.  Anything you try, try to be the best you can possible be.”

Solange's style of fashion and music is very eye-catching. The singer-songwriter-model-DJ covers the spring edition to Fader magazine. After releasing her debut EP 'True' late last year - Solange has been booked for a number of shows and was even honoured by Essence music as 'Black Women in Music'.

Kandi who is due to get married soon, has kept it no secret that she wants to get a pre-nup and claims that Todd is not on opportunist. Hmm.. I wonder what bought that up. Evelyn Lozada is Vibe Vixen's vixen of the month!

Lozada has had a rocky past couple of months, but seems to be getting her life back on track. Currently recording season 5 of Basketball Wives with Shaunie O'Neal, Tami Roman, Suzie Ketcham and newbie Tasha Mabury, Evelyn took time out of her "busy" schedule to kick it with the good people over at Vibe Vixen for this spread and cover story.

With Tami Roman saying that these "wives" have "changed" in recent interviews - read what Ms. Lozada had to say to the women's magazine below, in this "more than skin deep" issue.

On when she first felt 'beautiful':

Evelyn Lozada: Growing up around my family, I always felt I looked different. I started feeling myself when I was probably about 10 or 11. I definitely didn’t feel like an ugly duckling.  I wasn’t bullied and nobody tortured me about anything on my body. But I think I started finding myself when I was in high school.

On her daughter Shaniece - on whether she has given her enough tools to feel beautiful:

I’ve never been one of those parents who tell their children, “Oh, you’re getting fat.” I tell her how beautiful she is every day. I’ve always been very open, talking to her about sex and things she needed to know.

On meeting Chad (her ex-husband) on Twitter, on if she'll ever do that again:

I’m not opposed to it, but I’m definitely doing a background check on you!

On her dream guy:

Somebody that’s loyal, very respectful, God-fearing. I really look up to Meagan Good and her husband, DeVon [Franklin]. I heard him preach, and this man had me in tears. I was like, “Wow, this is a man.”

So, someone designed by God and who knows how to run a household:

Yes, all of that. And good credit. [Laughs]

On where she sees her beauty brand in about five years time:

I’m working on my clothing line, so I envision so many things. Kind of like what J. Lo did. She’s done so many great things. If I could take a page out of her book, I’m good.

On what she wants to do after reality TV:

I would love to do production, turning my book into TV features and continue to work in fashion. I want my brands to be big. Global status.

Everybody and their momma is putting out music.

Love and Hip Hop New York reality TV star, model and now singer - Tahiry has released her first song 'Devil'.

For those of us that watch Love and Hip Hop New York you'll see that Tahiry spoke on the new record this week saying that the song is about past experiences in her relationships - mainly speaking about her ex - Joe Budden who also appears in Love and Hip Hop New York.

Personally, for me - Tahiry should probably not sing - but the beat is not bad.. I can't be mad at a sister for trying.. Don't knock her hustle now!
