Krept & Konan Cover ‘Mo Money Mo Problems’ on 1Xtra Live Lounge

It's not easy to cover a classic hit single, and win people over with your own version. But London rap duo Krept & Konan did just that.

Earlier today, Krept & Konan hit up BBC Radio 1Xtra for their live lounge performance. The duo performed their brand new single ‘Freak of The Week’ (currently at #4 in the official midweek chart), as well as a cover of The Notorious B.I.G's ‘Mo Money Mo Problems’ featuring Puffy & Mase, that left people excited for their debut project.

Sounding amazing on the vocals is singer ShezAr who joined Krept & Konan to perform ‘Mo Money Mo Problems’ as she sang the catchy hook with her own spin to it. The real MVP of this cover though, is Krept who delivered with a Biggie flow in his verse and killed it.

Their debut LP ‘The Long Way Home’ is out on Sunday, 5th July and features guest appearances from Rick Ross, Emeli Sandé, Ed Sheeran, YG, Wiz Khalifa, Skepta, Rebecca Garton and Jeremih who features on their ‘Freak of The Week’ single, out now.

Last week, Krept & Konan unveiled one of the many remixes to ‘Freak of The Week’ featuring Bashment/Dancehall king Beenie Man and crooner Popcaan; listen here.

Krept & Konan will be playing the Pepsi Max Arena stage this Friday 3rd July at Wireless Festival. Order ‘Freak of The Week’ on iTunes: http://po.st/FOTWitYT and their new album ‘The Long Way Home’ (iTunes/Google Play/Signed CD) out Sunday, 5th July.

Watch as Krept & Konan bring the fire in the the 1Xtra Live Lounge below!

Also, on Monday the boys released their documentary entitled ‘The Long Way Home’, capturing their journey from when they first started up until the release of their debut album; this can be seen when you click "read more" below. Watch and check out their story. Be inspired.

New Music: Krept & Konan - Freak of The Week (Remix) ft. Jeremih, Beenie Man & Popcaan

If you thought the original was hot... Wait until you hear the remix...

‘Freak of The Week’ is doing exactly what Krept & Konan expected for it to do, be the sound of the summer! And have all the girls go crazy for it in the club.

The single, out June 28th, has been all over the airwaves for the past month with Radio 1 picking it up for their a-list and the video already reaching over 4m views on YouTube, has now got a remix to it featuring Jamaica's Dancehall heavyweight Beenie Man and Bashment crooner Popcaan.

It comes as no surprise to many Beenie Man's feature on the remix, as the original sounded a lot similar to his 1997 reggae hit single ‘Who Am I (Sim Simma)’.

Along with the new remix, the band also announced their signing to American hip hop goliaths Def Jam Records ahead of the release of their hotly anticipated debut album ‘The Long Way Home’ out July 5th.

Krept and Konan will be playing the Glastonbury Sonic Stage this Sunday 28th June, as well as Wireless Festival next Friday 3rd July. Pre-order ‘Freak of The Week’ on iTunes: http://po.st/FOTWitYT and their new album ‘The Long Way Home’ (iTunes/Google Play/Signed CD)

Coming in perfect time for the weekend, it's the remix! Press play below.

There was a little riff on twitter not too long ago with Krept and Konan against Chip, Wretch 32, Fekky and a few others - but it was all a publicity stunt to get fans excited for the official remix of ‘Don't Waste My Time’.

Earlier today we heard the ‘Coke Boys’ version of the song featuring French Montana, Lil Durk and Chinx Drugz which appeared on the ‘Coke Boys 4’ mixtape.

The official remix from Krept and Konan features Chip, French Montana, Wretch 32, Chinx Drugz and Fekky. Take a listen to the 5-minute rap song below.

New Music: Krept & Konan - Don't Waste My Time (Coke Boys Version)

Today sees the release of French Montana's ‘Coke Boys 4’ mixtape, the follow up to his debut album ‘Excuse My French’ released back in 2013.

Bringing in the new year with ‘Coke Boys 4’ - the mixtape sees UK award-winning rap duo Krept and Konan's single ‘Don't Waste My Time’ part of the tracklist, with an exclusive remixed version from French Montana, Chinx Drugz and Lil Durk.

Krept and Konan's verses are not part of the Coke Boys remix, just the catchy hook of the song. This is such a huge look for the duo - can't wait to see what else is in store for them throughout the rest of the year.

New Video: Krept & Konan - My Story

Some of us have longed to know what Konan has been rapping about in his verses in the songs: ‘Paranormal Activity’‘Devils Playground’‘Look What You've Done’ and ‘Cold World’. This new video ‘My Story’ lets us know exactly what he has been saying.

Once the video got released, it had twitter talking straight away including Tinie Tempah, Wretch 32, Skepta to name a few who all expressed their love for the song and video. Fans, spoke about how touching it was and even I was in awe and shocked at the story line and what had happened in the movie like music video.

Konan tells his story in this clip - where he remembers back to a night that his father got gunned down in their own home, after two gunshots ended his life. The video follows Konan after it had happened as well as Krept who had been there for him as a friend. This video is deep and a must watch as well.
