The BRIT Awards 2016: Winners (Full List)

The 2016 BRIT Awards was truly an interesting one this year to say the least, held today at London's O2 Arena - Wednesday, 24th February, the BRIT Awards had already stirred up conversation before it even came on live TV. The award show received a lot of back lash from members of the public for lack of diversity and people expressed their point of views and opinions as they trended ‘#BRITSsoWhite’ on Twitter.

The BRITs saw the likes of Coldplay, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Drake, Little Mix and Adele all perform, whilst Craig David, Lianne La Havas, Cheryl, Major Lazer and others all presented awards.

A tribute to British icon, David Bowie who we lost last month was led by Annie Lennox and close friend to Bowie - Gary Oldman shared his friend's final words, which were “music has been my doorway of perception and the house that I live in”, as he received Bowie's ‘Icon Award’ posthumously.

David Bowie's former band played a medley of hits and shortly after, singer Lorde joined them on stage to perform ‘Life on Mars?’ in his honour. 

There was a long list of winners at tonight's award ceremony, including Adele who went home with the most awards of the night, such as ‘Best British Album’ for ‘25’. Adele publicly offered her support to Kesha (who is currently facing a nasty lawsuit with manager, Dr Luke) as she picked up one of her awards by saying: “I'd also like to take this moment to publicly support Kesha”. Definitely a noteworthy moment.

One Direction won‘Best British Video’ for ‘Drag Me Down’, while Justin Bieber bagged the ‘International Male Solo Artist’ award presented by past collaborators Major Lazer.

Years and Years whom a lot of people were rooting for lost out to Catfish and The Bottlemen in the ‘British Breakthrough Act’ category. Of course Coldplay went home with an award ‘British Group’.

New Video: Skrillex and Diplo - Where Are Ü Now with Justin Bieber

The DJ duo Jack Ü better known as Skrillex and Diplo have teamed up with Justin Bieber for the visuals to their ‘Where Are Ü Now’ hit single.

Formed in 2013, Jack Ü have gone on to release their debut self-titled album earlier this year that features guest appearances from 2 Chainz, AlunaGeorge, Kiesza, Justin Bieber amongst others and reached #1 on Billboards' US Dance/Electronic Albums chart.

"You have art being done in the background where they are actually taking each frame and giving it to an artist and they all are painting," Bieber told ABC News. 

With Skrillex adding "we rented out an art gallery and then from there we took all the frames from the video and invited different artists, fans, whoever wanted to come and draw on the different frames."

‘Where Are Ü Now’ is Bieber's highest charting single in the UK since his 2012 release ‘Boyfriend’, peaking at #2. Whilst the single has been certified platinum in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Sweden - without any major promotion behind it.

Justin Bieber is reportedly in the studio working on his new album with Kanye West and Rick Rubin.

"We are being overwhelmed, in a good way, by the success of his 2012 ‘Where Are Ü Now’ with Justin Bieber, so with the video we wanted to just take it back to the beginning of the record & essentially create an ode to our fans. Doing what we do, it's entirely all about the fans. We walk a fine by being "famous" and in the public eye but we are only here because of you, the fans. Justin wrote this record during a tough time in his life and it comes to us that sometimes, as artists, we are also just objects and we have to take that as much as we have to use that to create. We all do this for you, respect that you put us here and it's Ü that made the video." - JACK Ü

New Video: Justin Bieber - Confident ft. Chance the Rapper

Put aside the fact that Justin Bieber's in trouble with the law for just over 6 minutes, and let's take in the greatness of this song and music video.

‘Confident’ is one of the many singles off Justin Bieber's ‘Journals’ album featuring Chance the Rapper who also stars in the music video - released last night. The video comes at perfect timing for Justin Bieber - who pleaded not guilty for charges from his DUI arrest in Miami last week.

Biebs has his eye on only one girl in the video, a beautiful blonde who plays his love interest in the Colin-Tilley directed visual. Bringing slick choreography and cheesy as hell pick-up lines in the video, the song and video is a nice one. Loving this new and more confident side to Bieber.

New Music: Justin Bieber - Confident ft. Chance the Rapper

Justin Bieber has been nothing but faithful to us these past 10 weeks. Closing the chapter of his #MusicMondays series, Biebs teams up with Chance the Rapper - from Chicago for this upbeat number ‘Confident’.

The song is a bouncy, head-bopping, turn up jam that will easily be a favourite for DJ's, and rap fans will love Chance the Rappers smooth touch to the song. The 10 weeks JB dedicated to us have been one of the most exciting music releases of the year, with ‘Confident’ wrapping it up. 2014 is looking like a good one for the Biebster and Beliebers!

Justin Bieber has not disappointed at all with the releases his been bringing out recently. Part of that collection includes ‘All That Matters’ - a cool R&B tender track that has now got a video to it. The video is sexy and sultry - but also PG. Biebs' is showing off his more grown and sexy side, and we love it. It's not everyday pretty boy lol!

New Music: Justin Bieber - Recovery

Monday Justin Bieber was recovering from what seems to have been a heartbreak a couple weeks back, with his ‘Music Monday Series’. 

Adding to ‘Recovery’ to the catalogue of hits, JB soothes things out as he samples British singer-songwriter Craig David's hit single ‘Fill Me In’, and does an exceptionally great job on the track.

Biebs brings back so many memories with this track for us all from that musical era, including Craig David as well. Take a listen to the fourth release out of his Music Monday Series.

New Music: Justin Bieber - Hold Tight

Another Monday, another Justin Bieber record. And I am loving it once again!

‘Hold Tight’ is the latest addition to the collection from Biebs, following up from ‘Heartbreak’ and ‘All That Matters’ for his Music Monday series. Keeping it romantic - Bieber sings about a love that he loves, and can't seem to get his mind off.

Biebs will be releasing new music every Monday until December 16, and his new movie ‘Believe’ will be out in the cinemas on Christmas Day. Something for the Beliebers to look forward to.

Following from ‘Heartbreaker’, Justin Bieber continues with his #MusicMondays series with ‘All That Matters’. Biebs keeps it soft and tender in this song just like the previous one - giving us a pure natural R&B sound.

Every Monday for the next 9 weeks Justin Bieber will release a new 'journal' as he calls it, leading up to the release of his new movie ‘Believe’ in December.
