DJ Abrantee Launches a Large-Scale Talent Search for the Best Next Afrobeat Superstar!

Choice FM Radio DJ and Presenter, Abrantee is launching a large-scale talent search show in search of the Best Next Afrobeats Superstar.

Afrobeats is a fast rising music genre in Africa and has now touched over in the UK, and it's doing it's thing with UK based Afrobeat artists from Nigeria and Ghana.

Now DJ Abrantee is looking for the next best Afrobeat superstar as he launches the global talent search on August 19, with a closing date of October 1, 2013.

Entrants are expected to upload a short demo video [maximum of 1 minute in duration] to YouTube and then email a link of their performance, alongside their name and contact details to: info@afrobeatsmusicfestival.co.uk

CLOSING DATE: 1st October, 2013

The finalist will be picked by some of the top experts from the world of Afrobeats. While the participants' talents are likely to be diverse, all must be able to sing, rap, dance and perform.

We Plug Good Music Presents... 'One Mic UK Afrobeats Special'

Just in time to kick off the Summer Holidays - the good people over at We Plug Good Music have put together this amazing Afrobeats show with a great lineup.

Eight of the best promising rising acts in the UK will all perform on Sunday, 14 July with a live band on one stage. Atumpan, Moelogo, Honey B, Weray Ent, Dizzy, Vibe Squad, 2Kriss and Adey will all be performing their hit singles as well as unreleased material for fans and supporters. 

The show will be hosted by none other than Afrobeats pioneer DJ Abrantee of Choice FM and supporters and Afrobeat lovers from allover the UK will be in attendance. Peep more details and ticket info on the show below!

Afrobeat Sundays is an award winning brand that is hosted by Choice FM Radio Presenter - DJ Abrantee. Afrobeat Sundays is back since they took a lengthy break from their last sold out show in December for their Christmas Special.

Afrobeat Artists Land iTunes UK Top 20 With ChoiceFM's 'Afrobeats The Ultimate Collection'

As Afrobeat music has made it's way into the hearts of the UK/European fans - it has also made its way onto the UK iTunes chart. Last year D'Banj reached #7 and also #2 on the UK R&B charts with his single 'Oliver Twist' and now Choice FM have entered the Top 20 on the iTunes UK Charts!

Teaming up with their very own, DJ Abrantee, Choice FM released an exciting new mixtape Afrobeats The Ultimate Collection featuring 30 of the biggest Afrobeat songs of the pst twelve months. Making it the very first Afrobeats album to hit the UK iTunes Chart!
