London's favourite live music night is back!

Began over a year ago by BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra's DJ Target and multiple award-winning producer Danny Weed, ‘Pitched Up’ is back for another night in the heart of Dalston, London. 

Delivering with impressive artists, ‘Pitched Up’ merges home-grown talent with established and sees like-minded people joining together to enjoy great music. 

BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra's DJ Target, says of the development “Originally we started Pitched Up to provide a fresh platform for new DJ’s and artists to showcase their music at a cool East London venue where we could attract a really cool crowd. After its initial success we have grown it into a label that has passion and purpose for all things fresh and exciting from the world of new music. Exciting times are ahead for Pitched Up.”

Following up from their impressive line-up in June, with Section Boyz, Potter Payper, DJ Cable to mention a few, the credible night will see DJ Target alongside Lady Leshurr, DJ SKT, Double S, Kiko Bun, Kieran Alleyne and Sir Spyro take to the stage at Birthdays in Dalston on Thursday, 9th July, 2015.

It's always exciting to see or hear about what the good people over at ILUVLIVE are up to, and on June 16th they're celebrating their ten years as the UK's leading home grown live music event.

To celebrate Naughty Boy and Emeli Sandé are back to perform some of their favourite tracks together. Emeli has taken to the ILUVLIVE stage twice before she got signed and was where she had first met Naughty Boy, which secured both of their futures. Speaking on ILUVLIVE, Emeli said: "iluvlive was a great opportunity for me. It's where I met Naughty Boy which led me to featuring on tracks with artists like Chip and Wiley."

The night will see support from some of the UK's hottest emerging acts such as Rough Copy, Stylo G, Ghetts, Jacob Banks, Blizzard, Tanika plus special guests. With the night ending with a thirty minute live jam session with the infamous ILUVLIVE house band and will see the likes of Terri Walker, GFrsh, Little Simz, Jamie Joseph, Lady Leshurr, Lady Lykez, Nick Brewer, Moelogo and still more to be announced surprise guests.

New Video: Son of Kick - Hours ft. Lady Leshurr & Paigey Cakey

‘Hours’ is the new release from Son of Kick. The song follows up from their mind-bending trap-rap hybrid ‘Black Towel’ featuring Metropolis of Foreign Beggars.

Son of Kick enlist the vocal talents of UK artists Lady Leshurr and Paigey Cakey on the track, which draws you in with an infectious synth melody and grinding bass notes while furious bars batter you from all angles. 

‘Hours’ is a testament to Son of Kick’s ability to break new ground, he's an artist who deserves to be heard; and UK label Midication, headed by Manchester's own hip-hop group Virus Syndicate, were quick to sign the track earlier this year. It's set for release 28 April 2014. 

Max Marshall Announces Free London Show, With Special Guest Lady Leshurr

Following the great response to her debut mixtape ‘Forgive Me’ and single ‘Don't Trip’, Baltimore-born and London-residing promising new talent Max Marshall is set to headline her own show alongside special guest Lady Leshurr at Birthdays on November 13.

New Video: Young O - Bet On It ft. Griminal and Lady Leshurr

I'm not too familiar with who Young O is but I love the fact that he releases a brand new video earlier this week and it already has over 100,000 views. UK artists are doing it big! Young O features East London's very own - Griminal and Birmingham's Lady Leshurr for his brand new single 'Bet On It'.

Even though Griminal does not appear in the music video to spit his verse, this is still a great video from Young O and the rest of his team. 

Young O previously reached over 90,000 views for the lyric video to 'Bet On It' and the song has gained a huge online buzz. Watch the new video to see why it's such a popular song!
