Converse CONS Project London - Journey Through LDN Sounds 002: Bass Culture

Converse CONS have been bringing us here in London an exciting couple of weeks. Keeping up with the momentum they'll be holding a few Journey Through LDN Sounds parties spread throughout the month.

On June 28th Converse CONS kicked off the first Journey Through LDN Sounds party celebrating the best of the UK's Jungle, Drum & Bass and Garage scene with Fabio & Grooverider, Foundation (Sticky & Scott Garcia), Kasra and Zed Bias who were all on the lineup. And picking up from where they left off - July 12th will see them focusing on the UK Bass music talent pushing forward the current sound of London.

On the bill are Hatcha & N-Type, Elijah & Skilliam with D Double E and T. Williams and of course - tickets are free as per usual via conversecons.com/ldn

A$AP Ferg Headlines Converse Gigs @ 100 Club in March!

"Shabba Ranks, Sha-Sha-Shabba Ranks! 8 gold rings like I'm Sha-Shabba Ranks!"

Is what fans will be chanting alongside A$AP Ferg next Tuesday at Converse Gigs at London's 100 Club. Ferg will be following in the footsteps of previous hip-hop headliners at the 100 Club including Nas, Ghostface Killah and Joey Bada$$ who have all headlined on the famous stage.

The New York rapper and self-proclaimed "Trap Lord" will headline the March edition of Converse Gigs. Not hitting the stage alone, A$AP Ferg will be joined by his fellow A$AP Mob member - A$AP Nast for this one off show, and DJ Martelo will be spinning on the wheels of steels.

Fans will be happy to know that tickets for this show are FREE and A$AP Ferg will be performing songs off his debut album Trap Lord released back in August 2013, including his hit singles 'Shabba Ranks' and 'Work'. Support on the night comes from fellow mob-member A$AP Nast whose verses with American rapper - Method Man (Wu-Tang Clan) feautre on the A$AP Mob's latest single 'Trillmatic', released December 2013.

Blood Orange to Headline Converse Gigs at the 100 Club in Partnership With The FADER

Converse Gigs @ 100 Club announce full line up for February show in partnership with The FADER!

2013 was a triumphant year for the people over at Converse Gigs - saw the likes of Joey Bada$$, Palma Violets and Enter Shikari pass through London's most legendary venue, and now Converse Gigs @ 100 Club is back with its first show of 2014.

The FADER is an award winning publication based in New York - positioned as the the unofficial guide to what's next in music - is partnering with Converse Gigs for its first ever UK event.

The show will be headlined by Blood Orange, known to some as Devonté Hynes who has produced a lot of music over the last 10 years, hopping from project to project and tweaking his sound. Hynes was previously a member of a group - Test Icicles and released two albums under the alias Lightspeed Champion before he embarked on his current project Blood Orange, which under sophomore album ‘Cupid Deluxe’ was released in November 2013 to widespread critical acclaim. Devonté Hynes has recently worked with Solange Knowles and Sky Ferreira amongst others.

Having featured on the cover of The FADER’s Dec / Jan “NOW” issue, Blood Orange returns to his hometown to play this special event at The 100 Club. He will receive support from Stay Bless who will make an exciting addition to the show.

After playing host to such heavyweights as Nas, Ghostface Killah and DOOM, hip-hop is returning once again to the 100 Club in October when 18-year-old Brooklyn native Joey Bada$$ will take to the stage for an exclusive UK show, with support from Irish rapper Rejjie Snow.

Today, CONVERSE UK announces the launch of GET DIRTY, an 11-city music series featuring performances by renowned international artists and up-and-coming local talent.

Inspired by the Converse seasonal brand expression “Shoes Keep It Clean, Sneakers Get Dirty,” the new music series celebrates the uncompromising mindset of throwing yourself in headfirst and resurfacing with the marks and scuffs that prove it. 

Held in the legendary 100 Club, the GET DIRTY gigs in LONDON will bring together a diverse range of talent including Ghostface Killah, The Cribs, Gallows, Doom, China Rats, Carnival Kids and more. It's just the start of the year, but things are about to get really exciting on Monday 28 January, 2013!

Converse Gigs @ 100 Club announce Enter Shikari for their January Show! This will be Enter Shikari's first headlining show for the new year - 2013!

2012 was a GREAT year for Converse Gigs as they had countless back to back shows with the likes of Nas, Santigold, Toddla T, Plan B, Everything Everything and more big acts to name a few to take the stage at the 100 club.

2013 marks the 10 years of Enter Shikari since they formed in school in Hertfordshire back in 2003, Enter Shikari has played over 1,000 live shows selling numerous prestigious venues worldwide. And now, the band will end their European headline tour by taking to the 100 Club’s legendary stage for a money can’t buy, up close and personal performance.

Enter Shikari will not be gracing the stage alone at the 100 Club though, as support on the night comes from - The Algorithm, brain child of talented producer - Rémi Gallego.

This is clearly going to be a GREAT night!!

Last year was a successful year for The Algorithm. After a successful premier of their live show at last year’s Euroblast festival, The Algorithm have gone on to destroy venue and festival stages across the globe, perfecting their trademark sound along the way.
