New Video: Azealia Banks - Chasing Time

Just one week since the unexpected release of her critically acclaimed debut album ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’, Azealia Banks has premiered the official music video for her current single ‘Chasing Time’.

The creativity of the black and white visuals has Azealia Banks name written all over it, the 23-year-old pays homage to two of hip-hops greats Lil Kim and Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes in the video, where she visually recreates some of their greatest moments. Banks even recreates Lady Gaga's ‘Artpop’ album cover in the video (see the photo comparison below, thanks to one amazing person on Tumblr).

The stunning new video, directed by Marc Klasfled, made its worldwide premiere yesterday via MTV and is off Azealia's chart-topping debut album, which peaked at #6 on the UK iTunes album charts, and #1 in the UK iTunes alternative charts, and reached #1 on the U.S iTunes hip hop chart. Winning!

The video to ‘Chasing Time’ is all sorts of amazing, and shows us Azealia's more than just a rapper - but a visual creator and dancer. I just love this video and song, isn't she amazing? Watch below.

No Promo, No Nothing: Azealia Banks Finally Releases Debut Album ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’

No promo, no nothing! But she's already got a number 1 album!

I didn't think that the album was coming after she kept on teasing us with release dates - but no album cover or tracklisting, and she kept on teasing at a leak of the album, then she parted ways with her record label - Universal Music Group and then we all pretty much just gave up. But at midnight - Azealia Banks pulled a Beyoncé on us and released her debut album ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’ exclusively on iTunes.

‘Broke With Expensive Taste’ is already sitting high at #1 on the iTunes UK & US 'Alternative' charts respectively and so far, seems to be doing well. Fans have taken to their various platforms to express their joy at the release of her new long-awaited album, and some have even reviewed it saying they love the versatility of the album.

The album features previously released tracks ‘212’ ft. Lazy Jay, ‘Heavy Metal and Reflective’, ‘BBD’, ‘Yung Rapunxel’ and ‘Luxury’. Azealia only enlists two artists to make a guest appearance on the album - Lazy Jay whom we've already heard on ‘212’ and Theophilus London on a never before heard track titled ‘JFK’.

The 16-track-album follows up from her two 2012 releases, her EP ‘1991’ and her mixtape ‘Fantasea’.

New Video: Azealia Banks - Heavy Metal and Reflective

Well, well, well... If it isn't Miss Azealia "I finally got dropped by my record label, and still ain't put out an album" Banks

Picking up from where she left off, after being dropped by Polydor/Universal - the 23-year-old rapper has unveiled some new material, the video to ‘Heavy Metal and Reflective’ taken from her highly anticipated debut album ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’.

The video is the first taste of her new work after parting ways with her label a couple weeks back. In ‘Heavy Metal and Reflective’, Banks references Tamagotchis and Michael Jackson's ‘Billie Jean’ amongst other things, over a synth heavy beat, and at just two-and-a-half minutes refuses to overstay her welcome.

Following her appearance at Wireless Festival this year, which received rave reviews for her notoriously indectious live set, Azealia Banks will embark on a UK and European tour this September. As seen below, along with the ‘Heavy Metal and Reflective’ music video.

Azealia Banks Announces UK Headline Tour For March 2014

Azealia Banks UK fans may be just a tad bit furious that she has pushed her one off show at London's Brixton Academy on November 30, 2013 to March 2014.

But instead they get a full tour from her in March 2014 to support the release of her much anticipated debut album, ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’. The nationwide headline tour will kick on March 25, 2014 at the O2 Academy in Glasgow and will close on March 29, 2014 in London's Brixton Academy. All tickets previously purchased for the Brixton Academy show on 30th November 2014 will be valid for the show on the 29th March, 2014.

Nevertheless - the Harlem rapper drops the visuals for her Pharrell assisted single ‘ATM Jam’ and damn does she slay. Minus the fact that Pharrell does not appear in this music video, Banks lives a luxurious hippie lifestyle in the video directed by Rony-Alwin.

Azealia Banks: to Play One Off Headline Show @ London's Brixton Academy, November 30

No one does it like Ms Azealia Banks if I'm honest with you.

The 22-year-old Harlem don diva will hit the stage at London's Brixton Academy for a one-off headlined show. 

Known for her popular songs ‘212’, ‘Liqourice’, ‘Yung Rapunxel’ and her newest one ‘ATM Jam’, it has been a good year for the rapper, who has graced the stage at some of the biggest festivals in Europe this Summer including Lovebox in London. As well as going on tour with some household names like Rita Ora.

The one-off headline show at London's Brixton academy will see Azealia perform tracks from her much anticipated debut album ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’, including previously released cut ‘212’ and upcoming single ‘ATM Jam’ which features Pharrell and is set for release on September 29th through Polydor Records.

Azealia Banks took to the stage at Glastonbury over the weekend and debuted her new single ‘ATM JAM’ with Pharrell Williams on the hook - who also produced the song.

Today, the 22-year-old unveils the full studio version which was premiered on the New York radio station Hot 97 this morning; where they gave us the exclusive world premiere.

‘ATM JAM’ will appear on Azealia Banks forthcoming debut album ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’, which is out sometime this year.

The Queen of Twitter beef - Azealia Banks has actually decided to release some new music for us. This past week alone Azealia Banks had beef with two of London's very own - Shystie and Rita Ora. Other than the fact that Miss Banks is the one that starts the beef - she actually has some good songs whenever she does decide to release them.

Azealia Banks released the first single 'Yung Rapunxel' off her debut album 'Yung Rapunxel,' - as we still await the release date for the album that constantly gets pushed back, lsiten to her new single produced by Lil Internet.

Azealia Banks says that her "it" girl is Baddie Bey and that weed should be legalized.

Sky Ferreira said that she has committed to not wearing anything she's comfortable in.
