SK Unveils Music Video For ‘Independent’

Kicking off 2016 in a massive way, SK is proud to debut the brand new music video for the fan favourite ‘Independent’. The video to ‘Independent’ comes shortly after SK released ‘Mr Man’ not too long back, and is part of the first series of singles (‘Let's Go There’, ‘Mujo’) from the rising star.

Directed by Inioluwa Omoyinmi for InneX Pictures, the stylistic black and white visuals for SK's ‘Independent’ sees the London-based Afrobeats musician celebrating the quintessential African lady, and embracing her beauty and elegance. The video also does well to accentuate the infectious musical backdrop already provided by producer GA, making for an all around special visual moment from SK.

SK will soon embark on an European tour, where he'll be heading to Sweden to headline a show on March 3, and stop at the University of Essex on March 11, among other tour dates to be announced.

His singles ‘Let's Go There’, ‘Mujo’, ‘Independent’ and ‘Mr Man’ have garnered over one million streams across Soundcloud and YouTube, proving just how much of a star SK is fast becoming.

New Music: SK - Mr Man

Following on from his latest single ‘Independent’, SK is back with a brand new single ‘Mr Man’.

Produced by emerging production duo Notch & Bones, ‘Mr Man’ sees SK in a gratuitous mode, as he thanks his fans and audiences for their support in 2015, as he sings “I do this for you”, but it also sees the 18-year-old rising star in braggadocios mode as he firmly asserts that he is the man to watch for 2016.

SK has already got over half a million YouTube and Soundcloud hits combined for his previously released singles ‘Let's Go There’, ‘Mujo’ and ‘Independent’.

[New Talent]: Introducing... SK + Video Premiere to ‘Lets Go There’

Last night emerging new talent SK premiered the official video to his debut single ‘Lets Go There’

The song which is nothing less than a banger saw its release in the summer, and has already racked up over 50,000 plays on his soundcloud in such a short space of time.

SK, a student hailing from London released ‘Let's Go There’ back in June of this year, later following it up with a more upbeat dance record titled ‘Mujo’ two months after.

The video to ‘Let's Go There’ follows in the footsteps of the song (produced by GA), with a nice laid back affect set in an apartment party, with friends and of course SK's love interest in the video, who he refers to as ‘Bolaji’.

SK's who's already got a buzz within the UK Afrobeats scene is set to go above and beyond in the new year, and is one of the last few artists to enter my 2015 ‘One2Watch’ list.

Directed by AfroWorldwide, press play on SK's ‘Let's Go There’ visuals below.

The video is presented to us by UK based record label Krystal City, no word on if SK inked a record or management deal with them, but it'll be interesting to see how they shape his career.
