It's been a great year for Joel Baker so far as he released his EP via iTunes on Sunday and includes his single ‘Further Than Feelings’ as well as five other unheard material.

Joel Baker gives us music to relax and chill out to after a long Summers day, as he strings his guitar with his soulful vocals and emotional lyrics. It's good to hear original music from Baker, after he released a free EP of covers in February ‘Between Kings Cross and Old Street’ featuring reworked songs from Eagle Eye Cherry, Kings of Leon, Kanye West and Bob Marley and a few more.

New Video: Joel Baker - Further Than Feelings

Following the incredible reception that his single has received so far, Nottingham singer Joel Baker has officially unveiled the self-directed music video for his song, 'Further Than Feelings'.

After an inspirational date along London's Southbank, Joel Baker utilised the musically creative atmosphere of his bedroom, not to serenade the lady in question; but to make this stunning track. Searching for his ideal relationship, Baker's song evokes his desire for something deeper than 'the flowery stuff'; loving someone for who they really are.

Directed by himself and his friends, the equally creative visual captures the homemade feel of his track even further, showcasing the warmth and the depth that the song emits to those who take a listen. 

Already receiving praise from such radio personalities as Dean Jackson (The Beat), Zane Lowe (BBC Radio 1), Huw Stephens (Radio 1 'Tip Of The Week'), DJ Target (BBC Radio 1Xtra), and John Kennedy (XFM), and with an exclusive SB.TV 'Stripped Back' session, four festival performances, and his forthcoming self-penned project, 'Long Sleeves', due to be released this month too, July is set to be one extremely popular month for the 22 year-old. 

Although first having thrust himself into the spotlight with popular cover versions, Joel Baker is set to exhibit his song-writing prowess to the world and catapult his music to wider acclaim with 'Long Sleeves'. His reworking of ‘Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe’ by Kendrick Lamar has attracted more than 140,000 YouTube views since its upload in late November, and the overwhelming reception led to Joel releasing a free EP of covers in February, Between Kings Cross and Old Street, featuring the artist’s take on music ranging from Eagle Eye Cherryand Kings of Leon to Kanye West and Bob Marley.
