The beautiful Dawn Richard just released her brand new album GoldenHeart and is already gearing up to release her new album BlackHeart this fall.

Richard keeps it tasteful in this new song 'Movie' where she brings us to the bedroom as she gets freaky with no cameras, visuals, a cast or extras. I like this side to Dawn Richard, enjoy 'Movie'.

When I think of Dawn Richard - the lyrics to Christina Aguilera's 'Fighter' comes to mind, because she is everything that song talks about. 

Today is the day that Dawn Richard's first official solo studio album GoldenHeart is released on iTunes and stores across the States. To accompany GoldenHeart, Dawn has premiered the short film (video) to one of the singles off the album titled '86'.

Directed by Eugene Lee Yang - Dawn explained: 

"We're using all the things in my past that people may view as negative as a catalysy to be inspiring-to fight for something."

As well as a new album Dawn Richard teamed up with the famous designer eye-wear twin sisters - Coco & Breezy for an exclusive pair of GoldenHeart glasses (pic below).

Dawn Richard: 'GoldenHeart' Album Snippets & Album Promo Pics

It's been a battle for Dawn Richard but the singer/song-writer has risen to the top and is set to release her first official studio album GoldenHeart next week (15 January).

The album is 16 tracks and includes singles such as 'Pretty Wicked Things' and '86', in this new album Dawn Richard sings about her journey and breakthrough with the whole music industry and with her success. Read what she had to say below:

"The last six years have been a battle for people to understand and conform me into what they really want me to be and I've kind of had to protect that throughout this whole journey."..."It’s kind of the story of me protecting this GoldenHeart, which really kind of symbolizes my own heart and my passion for this music thing and really who I am."

In early 2012 Dawn released her EP Armor On which went straight to #1 on the iTunes chart and since then everyone has been waiting for her long awaited album to drop. Richard has teamed up with eye-wear designers and twin sisters - Coco and Breezy for a pair of limited edition 'GoldenHeart' eye-wear, as part of their Omrose S/S 2013 look-book.

If you've been following Dawn Richard's journey you'll see that it was not an easy one and it feels so good to see her still doing her passion and what she loves - many years later. I respect Dawn so much and I will be surely adding her new album to my iTunes folder. Dawn is also planning on releasing the video to '86' next week. GoldenHeart is the first installment of her Trilogy albums, which includes: BlackHeart and RedemptionHeart.

Dawn Richard Poses For Rolling Out Magazine

Dawn Richard sizzles things up in the weekly edition of Rolling Out magazine. The singer spoke on Diddy Dirty Money, Danity Kane, her solo career, her success and more with the magazine in this interview. Dawn keeps it real in this interview - as always, holding nothing back. The Save Me From You singer recently released a brand new Christmas EP Whiteout which has been slaying the charts since it's release last week. Richard is schedule to release her first solo album in the first quarter of 2013 - GoldenHeart - The Trilogy. 

But why go solo now? The Last Train to Paris album was phenomenal. It seemed like you guys could do several albums.
Well, Puff was done. He didn’t want to do it anymore, and I couldn’t sit back and wait around to see what was going to happen next. So instead of waiting, I asked could I be released from my contract, and he was gracious enough to let that happen. I gave him six years of my life, and now I’m just excited about this next phase. Like I said before, every moment up until this point was just getting me ready to step out on my own.

You seem so confident that you are going to be successful. Do you ever worry that you have a quality or a personality trait that might hold you back?
Nothing will hold me back from the point of destination. I’m too hungry. I want it too badly and it’s not for the reasons people think. I want it because there’s a message to be told and there’s a story to be told.

With your circle now so small, how do you choose and decide who gets close to you and who doesn’t?
Easy, I can smell fake from 10 miles away. If it looks fake, if it smells fake, it is fake. Plain and simple, I don’t want “yes people” around me; I want smart people around me. With that being said, that’s why there are five people around me. A lot of people want to be with you and tell you “yes” to get where you are and steal the shine.

The beautiful and talented Dawn Richard has released her Christmas EP - Whiteout. The EP which was released earlier this week features 5 songs including "Miles" which she recently released last week.

Diddy Dirty Money in LONDON!!!

So as Nicki Minaj decided to walk the streets of London, so did Diddy Dirty Money. The group were here promoting their new album "Last Train to Paris".

The group were so secretive about their arrival; HMV Megastores in Oxford Circus was more packed than expected.

Luckily enough I was privileged to meet and greet Diddy, Kalenna and Dawn. Diddy also announced that there will be a “free concert” coming soon in the UK. Hmmm really now?!

LTTP is out Monday, 24th January ’11. Make sure you run out and get it!!!
