New Music: Laolu - Storyman

Laolu Ogun and Bonafide Crew are all no strangers to this blog with their singles "Felele" and "Bad Pass" and now Laolu is here with his second release titled "Storyman."

A laid back single produced and performed by Laolu. The song draws a lot of inspiration from different eras of African music to create a unique Afrobeat blend. The song's main theme centers around the idea that everyone has opinions but this doesn't mean your opinions are wrong despite what others may think.

Laolu will release more music throughout the year as well as new music from Bonafide Crew. Enjoy the new single "Storyman" which was self-produced and written by Laolu Ogun himself.

New Music: Bonafide Crew - Bad Pass ft. Adey

Earlier this year - I blogged about a Bonafide Crew member Laolu's new single 'Felele' and now the whole crew have got together for this brand new song 'Bad Pass'.

Teaming up with one of Nigeria's rising artists - Adey who has worked with the likes of Tiwa Savage for his debut single 'Beremole,' as well as Lynxxx, Dammy Krane, Sinzu (Sauce Kid), Sarkodie and so much more to name a few.

'Bad Pass' was produced by Bonafide Crew's very own - JB, who bring the group together for this head-bopping song with a catchy hook and solid verses. Listen to the new collaboration of the new skool below and let me know what you think of it!

Introducing... Laolu + New Single 'Felele' ft. JB

Introducing... Laolu Ogun!!

A fresh new face and sound to the Afrobeat industry! Laolu is a Nigerian Afropop artist and graduate from Loughborough University (Leciester, England) studying Civil Engineering and is currently doing his Masters program in Global Management.

Laolu Ogun started his music career back in High School where he was heavily affiliated with The Bonafide Crew. Influenced by music - Kanye West being his greatest idol, Laolu looks up to other artists such as D'Banj, 2Face, JayZ and the great Fela Kuti.

In Summer 2012, Laolu got the opportunity to create music in the studio while with The Bonafide Crew and realized his passion for music was much greater than just listening to it.

Now in the new year of 2013, Laolu hits the scene with his first official single 'Felele' (which basically talks about the issues a young man faces dealing with the opposite sex). Singing in his mother tongue - Yoruba in the song, compliments the song very well. The song was produced by JB who also features on the track and who is also of The Bonafide Crew.

JB has also produced the current singles like 'Emere', 'Atide' and 'We Dey Ball'. Look out for more music coming from The Bonafide Crew throughout the year.
